2024 Digital Sandbox AI Finance PoC Selection

【Event Background】

In response to the development trends in fintech and the evolution of API integration for technical services, the Digital Sandbox of FinTechSpace continues to promote an ecosystem of cross-domain collaboration for industry development. This year, the focus is on the application of emerging technologies, especially in “Artificial Intelligence”, in financial service scenarios. In collaboration with AWS, “Digital Sandbox AI Finance PoC Selection” aims to explore the potential applications of AI in financial services. The goal is to facilitate cross-domain PoC collaboration between financial institutions and FinTech companies, ultimately leading to commercial implementation.

【Selection Theme】

Participating teams in this Selection must use AI technology as the theme, target the current Fintech industry pain points or internal innovation needs, and design an innovative product, service prototype, or business model that can be implemented during the event period, exploring new financial scenarios for AI applications.

• Application scenarios include but are not limited to:
  credit scoring models, investment decisions, predicting user behavior, robo-advisors, output analysis reports, process automation, loan approval, tracking market trends, underwriting/pricing/credit risk assessment, and contract content analysis.
• Technical applications include but are not limited to:
  network (including cloud computing, communication transmission, Internet of Things, and APIs), hardware design or manufacturing (including chip development and wearable devices), blockchain, process automation (including RPA and chatbots), biometric technology (including audio, facial, fingerprint, signature, and biometric recognition), RegTech (including fraud detection, anti-counterfeiting, and AML/KYC), cybersecurity (including cybersecurity alerts, cybersecurity protection, and penetration testing).

【Recruitment Targets】

Domestic and foreign companies established or registered in accordance with laws, such as Fintech companies, tech companies, and financial services companies.

【Selection Process】

The application process in this Selection includes Preliminary selection and Final selection.  Preliminary selection will be conducted in Document review while Final selection will be conducted in pitching on-site.

【Incentives】

1. In the preliminary selection, 10 teams will be chosen as semifinalists. During the PoC counseling development period, they will have access to AI Master Class courses and matchmaking events, among other resources.
2. 3 Winning teams and 2 Honorable mention teams will be chosen in the final selection. These teams will be prominently featured at the 2024 FinTech Taipei and will receive six months of free residency in the FinTechSpace, along with related support resources. If the awarded projects achieve commercial implementation by the end of June 2025, they can apply for an additional grant of NT$200,000. Eligible teams are encouraged to apply enthusiastically!
