As a global center of green finance, the UK not only introduced the first green finance policy in 2019, but also hosted COP26 in 2021 and was the first G20 member country to promote climate-related financial disclosure and present a roadmap (Greening Finance: A Roadmap to Sustainable Investing) for sustainable disclosure requirements. In the financial market, the UK actively established the first green finance investment bank and issued green bonds. As of 2022, the LSE has issued green bonds for 23 countries in 17 currencies, with a total issuance size exceeding 56 billion pounds.
Given the Net Zero trend worldwide, FinTechSpace focuses on green fintech related topic, especially on green financial development and challenges in both markets. FinTechSpace cooperates with British Office Taipei to hold an international financial technology forum. It is expected that bilateral forum will invite experts in the field of green finance topics from the United Kingdom and Taiwan to give keynote speeches, panel discussion and arrange some outstanding fintech companies to share their experiences.
